The Knitting and Stitching show

This week 'The Knitting and Stitching show' starts at Alexandra Palace. It has been described by Twistedthread as " The Definitive and best exhibition in Textiles!"
Its starts on Thursday 8th October to Sunday 11th October.
I have never been before and am very excited about visiting on saturday with my ma.
I hope to see lots of goodies that I can buy!
The following information I found at    fibre2fashion.com

" you can help save the planet at the same time! The economic boom caused us to become wasteful consumers, and now is the
time to undo the damage. Rather than throw away old clothes, it’s time to repair them. Instead of abandoning what’s no longer in fashion, freshen it up with alterations and embellishments. To encourage you to do this, we’ve launched The Swishing Studio (in association with Sewing World Magazine and Brother) at The Knitting and Stitching Shows in London and Harrogate. We invite you to bring clothes you've made or customised to exchange with other sewers in the Swishing Studio. Bring up to 5 garments, and take away the same number. It’s as simple as that!

Junky Styling and other young designers will also be customising and recycling donated clothes throughout the show using Brother sewing machines, so if you need inspiration you can watch them at work. It costs £5 to take part, (or £15 to buy clothes without donating any) and all proceeds go to Bliss, the special care baby charity that supports premature and sick babies and their families.

Whatever your skill and interest, The Knitting and Stitching Show will get your creative juices flowing, it’ll help you learn to be thrifty and help the environment! Learn a new skill in one of over 100 workshops in the Learning Curve, find inspiration from the galleries of leading textile artists, and choose from over 350 companies selling everything from sewing machines to buttons and beads."

I'm even more excited now that I have read the above!!
